Jisu and the others were forced to put an end to their plans, and Hyun eventually came to realize that his true nature prevailed. The survivors in Green Home, the apartment with the most safety, are willing to do anything to live and constantly test their patience and convictions. At first, he was hostile toward him when he and the others realized that Hyun was starting to monsterize, just like Jisu. By letting his inner monster communicate with Hyun-soo's, Yi-hyun discovers the harmless giant fetus monster in the Room 1408 bathroom and, controlled by his inner monster, intends to kill it.

Joon Shin then takes Jisu hostage, threatening to kill her if Hyun attempts to attack him. However, Hyuk attacks Joon from behind, forcing him to release Jisu.
